Ingredients

1 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil plus extra for oiling dish
4 cups whole wheat bread 100%, cut into cubes
1 pkg Italian turkey sausage sweet, recipe called for one pound, but i used all 5 links, slightly over a pound
3/4 cup low sodium chicken broth can be canned, recipe called for 1/2 cup
4 stalks celery chopped small
1 onion medium, chopped small
celery use more or less onion and, as you prefer
1 bosc pears chopped small, I left the skin on
1 tbsp chopped fresh sage I used more, for dried rubbed sage I would still use 1 T
1 tbsp poultry seasoning or less, optional, I used Penzeys
1 large eggs beaten lightly
1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped, do not use dried parsley
pepper salt and, to taste
salt and pepper to taste
