1/4 cup warm water 100-110 degrees F
2 tbsps white vinegar
2 cups milk minus 2 tablespoons, room temperature
2/3 cup shortening cold, I use butter flavored Crisco
3 tbsps sugar
1 tsp salt
5 cups flour
2 tbsps butter melted, for after baking
1 1/2 cups butter melted
1/2 cup sugar
7 ozs almond paste frozen until firm and then grated with hand grater
3 tbsps milk to thin to drizzling consistency
