1 cup old-fashioned oats use certified gluten-free oats if you are avoiding gluten
15 ozs black beans rinsed and drained, or 2 cups cooked black beans
1/2 purple onion small, diced
1/2 cup coriander leaf lightly packed fresh, chopped
2 tsps cumin powder
1 tsp chipotle powder or smoked hot paprika
1/2 tsp cayenne powder, optional, to taste
1/2 tsp salt
