2 purple onion very large, halved and then sliced very thin crosswise
1 tbsp sugar
4 cloves garlic minced
2 green pepper large, thinly sliced into 1-inch strips
2 tbsps chili sauce use ground black pepper or chipotle powder for delicious variations. I like the smoky flavor from the chili sauce.
1 tsp olive oil
