3 cloves garlic minced
1 tsp ginger root minced
1 tsp cumin seed
1/2 tsp tumeric
1/2 tsp salt if desired
1/2 tsp garam masala plus more to taste, see my recipe

1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or to taste
