1 onion small, sliced thin, about 1/2 cups worth
5 celery ribs sliced thin, about 2 cups worth
2 russet potatoes large, chopped into 1/2" pieces, about 3 cups worth
3 cups corned beef cooked, cut into 1/2" pieces
6 cups chicken broth or 6 cups water, plus 2 tablespoons chicken base
1/2 tsp pepper plus more to taste
1 head green cabbage quartered and then sliced thin, about 6 cups worth
kosher salt only as needed, my stew did not need any additional salt
