3 tbsps coconut aminos or tamari, tamari is a good gluten-free sub for soy sauce
2 tbsps tomato paste
2 tbsps water
2 tsps arrowroot starch a corn starch substitute
1 garlic cloves 1 heaping tsp minced
1/2 cup yellow onion minced
1 tsp jalapeno chilies minced, or Serrano if preferred
