1 1/4 lbs ground turkey lean, 1 package
1 slice white bread crust removed
1 1/2 tbsps extra-virgin olive oil plus more for brushing the burgers
1/4 cup flat leaf parsley finely minced
2 tbsps onion very finely minced
1 eggs
1 1/2 tsps smoked paprika
3/4 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt or more to taste
1/2 tsp pepper or more to taste
1 1/2 tbsps applesauce
vegetable oil for frying, optional, if not grilling
10 buns slider-sized, for serving
1/2 cup mayonnaise good quality, I like Spectrum
2 tbsps fresh basil minced
1 tbsp fresh parsley minced
1 tbsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
1 1/2 tsps lemon zest
1 slice dill pickles
